India, Gates Foundation to expand ties on agri-tech,
AI, and food security, says minister Chouhan

India is strengthening its partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to boost agricultural technology, food security, and rural development. This collaboration will focus on key areas such as artificial intelligence in agriculture, agri-fintech, and climate-smart technologies.¹

The partnership builds on the Foundation's existing work in India, which includes initiatives in digital agriculture, biotechnology, and climate-resilient farming. Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the expanded collaboration after meeting with Bill Gates in New Delhi.

Some of the key areas of focus for the partnership include:
