You can now set ChatGPT as your default assistant on Android, replacing Google Assistant. To do this, follow these steps:

- Method 1: Using App Settings
- Go to Settings and select Apps.
- Tap on Default apps.
- Tap on Digital assistant app.
- Hit Default digital assistant app.
- Select ChatGPT from the list and confirm your selection.¹

- Method 2: Using Power Button Settings
- Go to Settings and select Accessibility & convenience.
- Scroll down and tap on Power Button.
- Select Press and hold the Power button.
- Tap on Digital assistant.
- Select ChatGPT.

Alternatively, you can also use the VoiceGPT app to set ChatGPT as your default assistant.² ³ Once you've set ChatGPT as your default assistant, you can summon it using the same method you would for Google Assistant, such as holding the home button or using a voice command.
