Defence minister Rajnath Singh meets US intel chief
Tulsi Gabbard, discusses security ties

"Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with US Intel Chief and discussed security ties, strengthening the bilateral defence cooperation between India and the US. This meeting highlights the growing importance of India-US defence relations, which cover ""all areas of human endeavour"" ¹.

During his four-day official visit to the US, Singh also met with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan and Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin. The discussions focused on enhancing defence industrial ties, co-producing defence capabilities, and strengthening supply chain resilience ¹.

The US has praised the momentum behind the US-India relationship, noting increased cooperation on defence issues. The two countries are working together to strengthen critical supply chains and interoperability between their militaries ¹.

Additionally, the US has approved the sale of High Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare sonobuoys to India, valued at $52.8 million. This sale aims to support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the US by strengthening the US-India strategic relationship
