What You Can (And Cannot) Take From Your Hotel Room

While staying in a hotel, you’re usually allowed to take single-use items like mini toiletries, sealed dental or shaving kits, disposable slippers, branded stationery, brochures or maps, and unused tea, coffee or sugar sachets — these are considered complimentary. However, items such as towels, bathrobes, bedding, pillows, crockery, glassware, electronics (hairdryers, lamps, kettles), decor, and furniture remain hotel property and must not be taken, or you risk facing steep replacement charges or even legal consequences.
