Qualcomm has issued urgent security patches for three severe zero-day vulnerabilities in its Adreno GPU driver, following warnings from Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) about active exploitation in targeted attacks.
The flaws—CVE-2025-21479, CVE-2025-21480, and CVE-2025-27038—affect a range of Qualcomm chipsets and could allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or install spyware on compromised devices.
TAG's investigation revealed that these vulnerabilities were being actively exploited, posing significant risks to users. Qualcomm has advised device manufacturers to promptly deploy the patches to mitigate potential threats.
Users are strongly encouraged to update their devices as soon as updates become available from their respective manufacturers.
This development underscores the critical importance of timely security updates to protect against sophisticated cyber threats targeting widely used hardware components
