Google CEO Sundar Pichai to employees: ‘I think we have to....'

If you aren’t already sick of hearing about AI, well—might be time to square up with it, because Sundar Pichai has spoken. And he made one thing crystal: AI isn’t the future anymore, it’s very much the now. And Google? It better start acting like it.

At an all-hands meet, Pichai told employees to stop waiting around and start using AI to actually get things done. No more just throwing people at problems—the solution now is smarter, faster, AI-powered work.

And he’s not alone. Exec Brian Saluzzo backed him up, pushing teams to get AI into their everyday workflows—especially engineers. There’s even a full-blown platform now, “AI Savvy Google,” stacked with training, toolkits, and sessions to help folks level up.

Oh, and there’s a new internal tool called Cider. It helps devs write better, faster, and smarter—and half the team’s already using it weekly.

Basically? The message is loud and clear: use AI, or risk getting left behind.
