Mumbai Retains Yashasvi Jaiswal After NOC Reversal

The Mumbai Cricket Association has officially approved opener Yashasvi Jaiswal’s request to withdraw his No-Objection Certificate, ensuring his availability for the upcoming domestic season. Jaiswal, 23, had sought an NOC in April to join Goa in pursuit of a captaincy role and family relocation. However, he reversed course in May, informing the MCA that his family’s move to Goa was postponed. MCA president Ajinkya Naik praised Jaiswal as “a proud product of Mumbai cricket” and confirmed his continued services for the 2025–26 season. Jaiswal has been in sparkling form, recently hitting a century during India’s Test tour of England. With Jaiswal remaining on board, opener Prithvi Shaw is expected to depart Mumbai ahead of the next domestic campaign.
