The fourth Test at Old Trafford just turned into a literal head-scratcher for Team India. Despite Rishabh Pant playing a mini-miracle innings on one foot—quite literally—England ended Day 2 flexing their muscles. And Nasser Hussain did not hold back on the criticism.
Pant had to retire hurt on 37 after a toe injury, but came back like a warrior to notch up 54 off 75 balls. Thanks to his courage, India managed a solid 358 on the board. Sounds great, right? Would’ve been, if the bowlers had backed it up.
Instead, Indian bowlers let the momentum slip away, offering England a feast of freebies with inconsistent lines and too many deliveries on the pads. Nasser Hussain was pretty brutal in his review. His biggest beef? Handing the brand-new ball to debutant Anshul Kamboj over the experienced Mohammad Siraj.
To sum it up: Pant delivered in pain, but the bowlers? Not quite. And England? They’re already looking like the frontrunners.
