Shubman Gill not affected by weight of captaincy: Gujarat Titans director Solanki

Shubman Gill has stepped up with confidence and consistency as captain of the Gujarat Titans in the 2025 Indian Premier League. In his second season leading the side, Gill has not only made strong tactical decisions but also impressed with his individual performances.

Under his leadership, Gujarat Titans have collected 14 points from 10 games, positioning themselves well for a playoff spot. Gill has been in exceptional form, scoring 465 runs in 10 matches with a strike rate of 162—his best IPL season so far.

Team Director Vikram Solanki acknowledged Gill’s growth, highlighting that he has adapted well to the pressures of captaincy and continues to evolve as a leader.

A key highlight for the team has been the opening partnership between Gill and B Sai Sudharsan. Their solid starts have given the Titans the edge in multiple games and helped lay the foundation for the team’s success.
