‘Housefull 5’ Becomes Akshay Kumar’s 6th Highest Grosser, Overtakes ‘Kesari’

Akshay Kumar’s comedy franchise Housefull 5 has climbed to become the actor’s sixth highest-grossing film, surpassing the box office collections of Kesari. Despite its strong run, the film is unlikely to outdo 2.0, which remains Kumar’s top-grossing film to date.

With its signature blend of slapstick humour and ensemble cast, Housefull 5 continues to draw audiences, reinforcing Kumar’s stronghold in the comedy genre. The film’s commercial performance adds another feather to the actor’s cap, joining the ranks of previous hits like Good Newwz, Mission Mangal, and Housefull 4.

However, industry experts believe the current momentum may not be enough for the film to dethrone 2.0, which set a high benchmark with its pan-India appeal and Rajinikanth-led fanfare. Nevertheless, Housefull 5 reaffirms Akshay Kumar’s box office consistency and enduring mass appeal.
