Anushka Sharma Opens Up About Awkwardness in Meeting Deepika Padukone

Anushka Sharma once candidly admitted feeling awkward around fellow actor Deepika Padukone, despite sharing a common past. Both stars attended Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru, yet Anushka revealed they never really interacted during their time there.

In an old interview, Anushka explained that crossing paths with Deepika at public events felt odd because they weren’t acquainted back then either. “We’ve gone to the same college, but we didn’t know each other. That’s why meeting now feels awkward,” she had said.

Though often speculated to be rivals in the past, Anushka's statement subtly clarified that any discomfort stemmed from unfamiliarity rather than personal issues. The two have since maintained professional courtesy, steering clear of any public controversy.
