Rajat Bedi, the man who once terrified audiences with his menacing screen presence, is stepping back into the Hindi spotlight with Aryan Khan’s upcoming Netflix series The Bastards of Bollywood. Best remembered for his chilling act opposite Hrithik Roshan in Koi Mil Gaya, Bedi was a staple of the 90s and early 2000s before quietly vanishing from the Hindi film circuit. Now, the trailer’s fleeting glimpse of him has ignited a wave of nostalgia and excitement.
Bedi will be seen as Jaraj Saxena, a character formally introduced during the show’s glitzy preview where Shah Rukh Khan himself played host. Social media, predictably, has gone into a frenzy, with fans hailing him as the “OG Villain” and celebrating a comeback they feel was long overdue. Throwback photos, iconic dialogues, and unabashed declarations of joy have filled timelines, painting a picture of an actor who clearly left his mark.
Though he briefly resurfaced in 2023 with the Punjabi comedy Gol Gappe and the Telugu film Ahimsa, this marks his true homecoming to the Hindi industry. With Aryan Khan’s series promising a star studded cast that includes Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Mona Singh, and Raghav Juyal, along with sparkling cameos from Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, and Salman Khan, Bedi’s return seems perfectly timed.
The Bastards of Bollywood begins streaming on Netflix from September 18, 2025, and for fans of vintage Bollywood villains, it feels like the curtains are finally rising again on a long paused performance.
