Saiyaara' box office collection day 17: Ahaan Panday and Ane ..

Oh hey, what’s greatness? I think Saiyaara comes to mind. On its 17th day, the Ahaan Panday–Aneet Padda starrer nearly crossed the ₹300 crore mark—emphasis on the word nearly, please! Literally missed it by the hai now. It wrapped up its third weekend at ₹299.75 crore, according to early estimates. The number’s frustrating, yes—but also kinda iconic. What makes it cooler is that Saiyaara did this while playing in a theatre jungle full of new releases. There’s Son of Sardaar 2 storming in with Devgn-level charm, Dhadak 2 trying to make noise, Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom roaring in the South, and even Mahavtar Narsimha sweeping the animated crowd. But Saiyaara? Still standing, still shining, still breaking hearts and records (almost).

It kicked things off big time—₹172.75 crore in its first week, ₹107.75 crore in week two. Sure, week three slowed down a bit, but not enough to knock it out. Friday brought ₹4.5 crore, Saturday jumped to ₹6.75 crore, and Sunday—plot twist—ended with ₹8 crore. So close to ₹300 crore, you can probably smell the bonus cheques.

Meanwhile, Son of Sardaar 2 beat it by a pinch on Sunday with ₹9.25 crore, while Dhadak 2 did what it could and wrapped its first weekend at ₹11.50 crore.

Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara is heartbreak, healing, and high notes wrapped in one long musical spiral. Ahaan and Aneet sizzle with that emotionally damaged-but-pretty energy. Krish Kapoor plays the angsty artist with flair, while Vaani Batra brings calm power as a lyricist with baggage. Together? Fire and feelings. And if you’ve ever cried to your playlist at 2 a.m., this one’s for you.
