JAMMU – Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar encountered a legal snag when the SUV that transported him from the airport to a public appearance was impounded by Jammu traffic police. The vehicle, bearing a Chandigarh registration, was found to have dark-tinted windows exceeding legal limits under the Motor Vehicles Act. Officials, seized during a routine naka check at Dogra Chowk, emphasized that traffic laws apply uniformly—regardless of celebrity status. While the seizure caused a brief disruption, Kumar’s event proceeded as planned, with alternate transport arranged. Police reiterated their commitment to strict enforcement of road safety and vehicle regulations to uphold the law impartially.
